Samsung Galaxy Nexus
The long awaited Google flagship phone has arrived! The Galaxy Nexus is most definitely a great device with the latest Android 4.0 software Ice Cream Sandwich. What makes this phone different from the Nexus S?
-4.65" Super AMOLED HD display (which is quite nice)
-1.2 GHZ dual-core processor
-Zero-shutter lag
-1080p video recording
-LED lights
-4G LTE
-1GB RAM
-32GB Storage (still no SD card)
In similarities to the Nexus S, it has a 5MP camera, 1.3 front-facing camera, NFC, and a curved glass display.
This is the latest phone to hit the market but does it size up to other devices?
IQRP
Hardware(5):
Camera: I'm a little disappointed that the phone came with a 5MP camera. Phones nowadays features 8MP camera. Although there are some speculation that the GN camera is top-of-the-line. After reviewing some photos taken by the GN vs the iPhone 4S, some of the pictures were washed out on the GN. I'll give this a camera score of 0.7.
Processor: Processors of today are expected to have a dual-core processor. Why else resort to old technology? The GN has a little boost with that 1.2GHZ dual-core compared to a 1GHZ dual-core. But still, the Samsung Skyrocket 4G has a 1.5GHZ dual-core and so does the LG Nitro. I'll rate this a 0.8.
Display: The display is remarkable on this phone. The ppi is 316 which is 13 ppi less than the iPhone 4/4S, but it makes for the fact that it's a 4.65" screen. Samsung really has set the mark for the display on this phone. I'll give this a perfect 1.0.
Battery: The battery capacity is 1850mAH battery life with blah-blah standby time (pretty much 2 days of regular usage involving light web browsing and moderate texting). Quite a common size battery for dual-core phones. I'll give this a 0.9.
RAM and Storage: The GN has 1GB RAM (common) and 32GB storage (sort-of uncommon). I don't know of any other Android phone that has 32GB internal storage (excluding SD card). You can get an iPhone 4/4S with 32GB internal storage (then again, that's Apple). I think it's cool that the GN has 32GB internal, but yet, it still lacks an SD card slot which is quite useful. I'll give this a 0.8.
Hardware IQRP: 4.2
Software(5): Android is a great software. When it first came out, I was like, wow. Everyone was use to Blackberry OS and Windows Mobile and Palm OS and Apple OS and whatever else there was. Google thought of something different. In a way, Android is a combination of every OS. One could also argue that Android is mere copycat of other OS. However, Android offers the best customization compared to any other OS in my opinion. Android is also open source leading to many great communities like XDA. I'm not going to be dwelling into the core features of Android because what are the core features of any OS? Email and web browsing? Of course any OS can do that. Os nowadays can do that basics. It's all about who can do it the best. Android does have it faults (force closes, lag, viruses) You can thank Google for being open source relating to viruses. Who else puts their code out for everyone else to see it?.....(webOS now). Overall, I rate the software a 4.3 because of its faults. However, the customization gave it support.
IQRP: 8.5 B
The GN is a great device. Perhaps a bump to the camera specs and the processor would bring it to A standard. Regardless of score, this is a great device. I definitely recommend getting it. It's currently available at Verizon Wireless for $299 on contract or you can shell out around $700 for an unlocked GSM version.

Apple iPhone 4S
The iPhone is no doubt a very great device. When the iPhone 4 came out, people were amazed by the design and the display and at first, I didn't much care for the design until I got use to it. After this device came out, people were in much anticipation for the next iPhone to come out (after all It took longer than a year). In much dissappointment, the iPhone 4S remained the same throughout such as the design and display but has upgraded specs.
Some specs of the phone:
-3.5" 960x640 retina display, 326ppi
-Siri voice assistant
-Fingerprint-resistant oleo-phobic coating on front and back
-8MP camera with autofocus w/LED flash
-1080p video recording at 30fps
- Dual-core A5 chip
-1,432mAh battery
-512MB RAM
-16GB, 32GB, or 64GB internal storage
Is the iPhone 4S a fail or win? Lets find out:
IQRP
Hardware (5): .
Camera: The camera on the iPhone features high-quality optics that really brings out the quality of pictures. It also includes 1080p video recording as well. The fact that this isn't the only phone with an 8MP camera and 1080p video recording, I can't give this phone a perfect score, but I can score it a litter higher due to optics. I'll give this a score of 0.9.
Processor: A lot of phones nowadays features a dual-core processor for intensive gaming or other applications with some phone even having a 1.2 dual-core and a 1.5 dual core. The iPhone features a 1 gigahertz dual-core chip. I'll give this a score of 0.7.
Display: The iPhone 4S features a highly quality display. However, there are some faults. People were expecting a 4" display on the new iPhone as a distinguishing factor between Android or IOS. Apple kept it the same with a 3.5" display. I'll give this a score of 0.6.
Battery: The battery is really important because it determines the longevity of the phone between charges. I constantly have to charge my iPhone 4S everybody because of the underpowered 1,432mAh battery which in today standard is very poor. Considering the fact that the battery takes up over half the phone is poor design. I'll give this a score of 0.3.
RAM and Storage: The RAM is also underpowered on the phone also. It features a 512MB chip instead of a 1GB chip because of power consumption. The phone is fast but mainly due to the processor. The processor is the speed of applications while the RAM is the holder of applications at a single time. Modern phones features a 1GB RAM chip to complement the dual-core processor, but not on the iPhone. On the other hand, the iPhone can hold up to a max of 64GB if you shell out an extra $200. Great idea for people who have a vast amount of music and photos. Also, the iPhone is lacking a micro-sd card which they always have. It's like a rollercoaster when it comes to ram and storage on this phone. I'll give this a score of 0.4.
Hardware IQRP: 2.9
Software(5):
When it comes to software score, I don't look for individual components. I look for an overall representation. In difference the other operating systems, there isn't much change in iOS 5 among other iPhones unlike Android. iOS has a great interface. You turn on the phone, and you are taken straight to your menu of apps. This can tend to be quite boring to some people (like me). With Android, there's so many customization options you can do to make the phone "yours." iOS also features iCloud as a backup manager which is a great addition due to the increase in cloud computing. iOS also has the largest market for apps. In relation to today's operating systems, iOS is on par with Android because of some similar features. I'll give this phone an overall score of 4.2 because of it's lacking customization.
IQRP: 7.1 C-
So is this phone a fail? Almost, but not quite. If it wasn't for a great operating system, the phone would be a flop. However, the hardware needs some serious rework for this phone to shine.

Difference between iPod Touch 1G and 2G
The iPod Touch is one of the most popular mp3 devices. It has a sleek chrome finish on the back and a full touchscreen on the front. One of the major features of the iPod is Wi-Fi, Multitouch, and an accelerometer, but there are differences between the 1G and the 2G.
If you take a look at the back of each iPod touch, you'll notice a bit of change.
The 1G is on the left and the 2G is on the right.
Physical features of the 2G that 1G doesn't have is:
- Volume Rocker
- Built in speaker
- Bluetooth
I'm cutting the article short and I will put more info up tomorrow.

Google Chrome OS?
What's Google coming up with next? Google Chrome OS! Google Chrome OS isn't going to be the new Windows 7 but they are making an impact on netbooks by offering a lighweight, open-source operating system. One of the main attractions is going to be the speed. Getting you on the web in just a few seconds in the main priority.
Google Chrome OS is a different project other than Android that they run on most cell phones but you can think of it as Google Android on your computer. More information will be realeased soon but you can expect the OS to be released by Fall 2010.

LG Xenon (AT&T)
The LG Xenon is one of at&t high-end messaging phones. It has a slim design making it not so bulky. It comes in many colors such as black, blue, and red. It has many features such as a
- full slide-out QWERTY keyboard
- 2.8" touchscreen w/ vibration feedback
- 2MP camera w/flash and video, 2x zoom
- music player
- accelerometer
- SMS
- MMS
- 3G
- Video Share
- Bluetooth
- 100MB internal memory
- Expandable up to 16GB with microSD!
What makes it different apart from other phones? I own a LG Xenon and from experience, it is one of my favorite phones i've had. It takes the greatest picture and the flash helps. The OS has many features such as picture editing, on screen texting(not qwerty), 3 main home screens (left is for contacts, middle is standard, and right is shortcuts), Lg's "Annunciator" (touch top of screen for shortcut menu) and a widget bar the holds 6 widgets for quick access to music player, photo viewer, calender, etc...
I have had no problems with it such as no glitching. I dropped it a couple times on concrete and there still remains no scratches. The battery life is very decent. I charge it every 3 days and I talk and text alot. The display is very eye-popping! The phone is very customizable. I give the Xenon a 4.6 out of 5 stars!
A couple cons about the phone is that it lacks wifi and the ability to set up your own e-mail apart from the existing ones it gave you such as aol, windows live, etc..
In a nutshell, the Lg Xenon is a stylish quality phone that would be perfect the ideal teenager or person who likes to text.
Pricing is moderate. You can grab the Xenon for $99.99 after mail-in rebate (before rebate $149.99)
